Adult's Events

The programs featured here meet on a regular basis, but don't miss out on other one-time programs like guest speakers on everything from money to gardening.  Check our calendar for times, locations and any cancelations.


Adult man concentrating on a chess board.Open Chess: Truly a program for all ages, come play chess with both young children & other adults.  All skill levels are welcome. Come to Laura's Library every Monday at 5:00 pm. Watch the calendar for holiday cancelations.

Tech Help: Come alleviate your technology frustrations by getting help from a knowledgeable & helpful teen.  Bring your questions & your gadgets to:

  • Laura's Library on the first Saturday of the month from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Westbank Library on the third Saturday of the month from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Laura's Library every Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Westbank Library every Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday Technology Workshops: Each month, the Tech Teens will teach a popular subject in the world of technology, including Microsoft Word, Twitter, Wordpress, and more.  Check the calendar for the specific topic every third Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Laura's Library.

Meditation: Take a breather and recharge during your busy day at Westbank every Tuesday at noon, and every third Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Prime of Life Yoga: This safe and non-competitive yoga is designed for those aged 35 and over, but all are welcome.  Please bring your own mat.  Occurs at Laura's Library every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

French Film Club: Watch the monthly film selection at home then come to the library to discuss it in French. See the calendar for the latest selection. This club meets at Westbank Library on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Madrone Canyon Trail Guided Hikes: Meet in the Laura's Library parking lot for a guided educational hike through the Madrone Canyon Trail on the first Saturdays of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Meditación en Español: Meditación nos da la oportunidad de hacer una pausa en nuestra vida tan acelerada que llevamos y nos permite conectarnos con nosotros mismos atraves de estar mas conscientes de lo que sucede dentro y fuera de nosotros. Meditation gives us the opportunity to make a stop in our busy lives and allow us to connect with ourselves through awareness of what is happening inside and outside ourselves. Join us at Laura's every Saturday (Sábados) at 11:00 a.m.


library members quiltingGuitar Jam: This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other musicians of all levels in a relaxed setting without the pressure of performing. Acoustic guitars and mandolins are welcome, but no electric guitars, please. Join this group at 3:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month at Laura's.

Memoir Writing Workshop: Join us at Westbank on second Mondays at 5:00 p.m. (through December). We'll have writing prompts and examples at each session. Come explore your creative side, talk with other writers, and get some of your experiences down on paper

Quilters: It doesn’t matter if you’re an expert with a needle or just starting out, you'll be welcomed with open arms. Join the group at Laura's on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Knit Wits: This group meets for fun & fiber every week.  Flash your best needles, break out the good yarn, & come enjoy the glorious art of knitting. Crocheters and embroiderers also welcome. Join them at noon every Friday at Westbank Library.


Daytime Book Group: This group discusses books that explore life from many angles - from the author's viewpoint, from the character's experiences, and from the group members' personal perspectives. Meetings are at the Laura's Library on the first Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

Shakespeare Out Loud: Join this group to explore the genius of The Bard and understand Shakespeare's plays on a level that most readers have never experienced. The group meets at the Laura's Library on the second Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

BookTalk Book Club: Come talk about great books! See the calendar for the latest selection, come to a meeting & ask to join their email list. Meetings are at the Westbank Library on the last Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm.

Mysteries & More Book Club: Join us for cheerful dissections of the juiciest mysteries! Check the calendar for the latest selection and join us at the Westbank Library on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm.
