The programs featured here meet on a regular basis, but don't miss out on other one-time programs like guest speakers on everything from money to gardening.  Check our calendar for times, locations and any cancelations.

LEARNING & SELF IMPROVEMENT

Adult man concentrating on a chess board.Open Chess: Truly a program for all ages, come play chess with both young children & other adults.  All skill levels are welcome. Come to Laura's Library every Monday at 5:00 pm. Watch the calendar for holiday cancelations.

Entrepreneur Collaboration Series: Learn about resources that will help your small business thrive.  Series topics can be found on the calendar.

iTeen Technology Tutorials: Come alleviate your technology frustrations by getting help from a knowledgeable & helpful teen.  Bring your questions & your gadgets to:

  • Laura's Library on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. - noon
  • Laura's Library on the third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 7:30 p.m.

Saturday Technology Workshops: Each month, the iTeens will teach a popular subject in the world of technology, including Microsoft Word, Twitter, Wordpress, and more.  Check the calendar for the specific topic every third Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Laura's Library.

Meditation: Take a breather and recharge during your busy day every Tuesday at noon.  From now through September 30th, meditation will occur at Westbank Library.  Afterwards, it will take place at Laura's Library until after the Westbnak renovation.

Prime of Life Yoga: This safe and non-competitive yoga is designed for those aged 35 and over, but all are welcome.  Please bring your own mat.  Occurs at Laura's Library on the 2nd Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m.

French Film Club: Watch the monthly film selection at home then come to the library to discuss it in French. See the calendar for the latest selection. This club meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.  In September, the club will meet at Westbank.  Starting in October, the club will meet at Laura's.

Library members gathered around a laptop during the geneology group meeting.First Friday Genealogy: This group meets monthly at Laura's Library to share tips in finding lost ancestors using library resources.  Join us on the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am.

Madrone Canyon Trail Guided Hikes: Meet in the Laura's Library parking lot for a guided educational two-mile hike through the Madrone Canyon Trail on the first Saturdays of the month at 8:30 a.m.

 

CRAFTS & CREATIVITY

library members quiltingQuilters: It doesn’t matter if you’re an expert with a needle or just starting out, you'll be welcomed with open arms. Join the group at Laura's on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 1:00 pm.

Knit Wits: This group meets for fun & fiber every week.  Flash your best needles, break out the good yarn, & come enjoy the glorious art of knitting. Join the knitters at noon every Friday.  The Knit Wits will meet at Westbank in September.  Starting in October, they will meet at Laura's Library. 

BOOK CLUBS

Daytime Book Group: This group discusses books that explore life from many angles - from the author's viewpoint, from the character's experiences, and from the group members' personal perspectives. Meetings are at the Laura's Library on the first Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

Shakespeare Out Loud: Join this group to explore the genius of The Bard and understand Shakespeare's plays on a level that most readers have never experienced. The group meets at the Laura's Library on the second Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m.

Book Talk Book Club: Come talk about great books! See the calendar for the latest selection, come to a meeting & ask to join their email list. Meetings are at the Westbank Library on the last Tuesday of the month at 1:00 pm.

Mysteries & More Book Club: Join us for cheerful dissections of the juiciest mysteries! Check the calendar for the latest selection and join us at the Westbank Library on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm.
