Board Opening - Apply by January 6
The great work of our libraries is overseen by a five member elected Board of Trustees. Long-long-long time Board member, Jim Bannerot, will be retiring from the Board very soon, and remaining Board members will be appointing a member of the community to complete Jim’s term, through November 2018 elections.
The primary duty of the Board is the oversight of finances and policies, as well as advising the Library Director. This work is generally accomplished during a monthly meeting, scheduled jointly by Board members, with occasional special meetings when larger issues or projects need attention. We are soliciting letters of interest. Your letter should introduce yourself to the Board, and let us know what strengths you think you might bring to Board work. It should also include a statement indicating that if you are appointed, you are prepared to serve. Letters of interest can be emailed to our Board President, Lyle Thormann, or they can be dropped into the Director’s office at our Westbank location. Please respond by January 6.
