Mindful listening is an exercise in training our attention. Join us on a walk as we learn to “listen like a fox”. Afterwards we will make a fox mask to remind us to practice listening with “fox ears” at home.
Bring the family and together create a colorful table runner for Thanksgiving. With stamps made from potatoes and vegetables, you can create a fall festival of leaves and pumpkins right on the fabric. Each family will take home one table runner.
Using warm, soapy water and some rubbing we will change orange wool roving into small pumpkins and then set them inside Burr Oak acorn tops. Or, wrap your orange wool ball with twine to create a tiny pumpkin. Hang them in the window or spread them across a table for decoration.
Learn Chinese, have fun and make friends! Stories, rhymes and songs in Mandarin. Facilitated by Angela Bai, and designed for children of 2 to 5 years old. Several Chinese story books will be preselected by the hosts for each session. You are also welcome to bring your kids' favorite Chinese book to share.
Want to learn how to repair or build your own computer? This class introduces the major components of computer hardware and what they do. The instructor will lead a demonstration lab that provides hands-on experience with installing and uninstalling common pieces of hardware.
