It’s hot outside, and even hotter inside as we draw this fun desert-inspired graphic. Artists will draw a stylized composition featuring cartoon-interpretations of a cactus, a coyote and the sun. We’ll also learn to use contrasting warm and cool colors to finish off our cheery Southwestern masterpiece.

Join Elizabeth Hoisington as she teaches our families to practice mindfulness through a series of fun exercises. Each week a different mindfulness and meditation exercise will be introduced that you and your family can do at home.

Week Nine: Cloud Meditation (Mindful Breathing)

Our thoughts are like the clouds, forming, changing, and passing by. Come learn about the power of our breath and how it can help us with distracting and unruly thoughts.

Our final Wednesday performance of the summer will be by The Hideout Theater's The Flying Theater Machine.

Week Eight: Mandala Drawings (Quiet Focus)

Join us for mindful bodies, mindful listening, mindful breathing, followed with mandala colouring. Small movements and gentle concentration of coloring draw us into the present moment and has a calming effect for children. (Adults too!)
